Cary Fitzpaine, 14 August

		Leaving Mullion and heading east, we stopped at Restormel Castle, near Lostwithiel. From outside, it looks like a fairly well-preserved shell castle ...
		... but inside was in ruins.
		We paused briefly in the village of Ottery St Mary, just east of Exeter, to look at the remarkable church, which included this stained glass.
		Then we spent much longer admiring the beautiful garden at Montacute House, near Yeovil.
		This was our B&B in Cary Fitzpaine. Indeed, it was the entire village of Cary Fitzpaine. Very comfortable, but rather remote: we had to drive some distance to find an evening meal in a rather unwelcoming pub.

After we left Cary Fitzpaine, we drove to Winchester and looked at the Cathedral, then on to a B&B in Windsor before catching a flight to Paris the next day. It was a very grey day, and we did not take any worthwhile pictures. So now we go on to France.
