  Disused road bridge near Atcham, which was built by Telford as part of the London-Holyhead road.
  We found Haughmond Abbey almost by accident. It was not shown on our road atlas, but we followed a road sign.

  This is Buildwas Abbey, not far from Ironbridge and in a beautiful setting near the Severn River.
   
   
   
  Wenlock Priory at Much Wenlock.

  Speke Hall, in the care of the National Trust, is near Liverpool.
   
  Whittington Castle was an unexpected pleasure, just sitting in ruins in a park in the village of Whittington.
   

After our week in Pant, we moved on to Bath.
