Hawker to Marree

		From Hawker, we went to Wilpena in the Flinders Ranges National Park. †
		We walked next to a creek with these magnificent river gums. †

		Emu chicks are much more cute than fullgrown birds. These were in the car park at Wilpena with their father. *

		By now, the Land Cruiser was rather less clean after travelling on clay roads in the rain. *
		It became very stormy. *
		Late in the afternoon, we reached the abandoned town of Farina, which had been an important stop on the old Gahn train line. *

		Just as we got to Marree, the weather cleared to a spectacular sunset. *

The next day, we had a flight over Lake Eyre.
