Technical notes on the photos

For the 2010 photos, Lynn initially used a Canon 350D but changed to the Canon 550D that she bought in San Francisco much more cheaply than she could buy one in Australia. Nick used a Panasonic Lumix FZ35.

For the 2008 and 2009 photos, Lynn used a Canon 350D with a resolution of 3456x2304. Her photos were captured as RAW files and then converted to JPEG, with varying amounts of processing, in Photoshop Elements. Nick used a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7 with a resolution of 2816x2112. His photos were captured as JPEG and have been cropped and had some minor processing in Photoshop Elements. Because of limitations on web server space, the photos were resized before being put on this site.

The 2006 photos were mostly taken by Lynn with a Canon 350D digital camera, with some taken by Nick with a Olympus Mu Mini digital camera. Selected photos were enhanced, to varying degrees, with Photoshop Elements. Because of limitations on web server space, the photos were resized to be no more than 800 pixels wide or 600 pixels before being put on this site.

The 2004 and 2002 photos were mostly taken by Lynn with a Canon 300V film camera, with some taken by Nick with a Nikon Zoom 140ED film camera. All photos were processed by a photo lab to 6x4 prints. Selected photos were scanned and resized for the web, without any digital enhancement. Alas, there are no better quality digital images available.
