Sablet: Orange and Aix

We visited Orange to see its Roman monuments.
		The Arc de Triomphe in Orange. *

On another day, we went all the way to Aix-en-Provence.
		The pretty Cours Mirabeau, the main street of Aix. Beyond the trees on each side, there are shops and restaurants, and we had lunch at one of the restaurants. *
		The Hôtel de Ville clock tower on the Old Town. *
		Statue of Madonna and child on a street corner. †
		A crepe stand, like those found in many towns in Provence. *
		We drove out of town, looking for the field where Cezanne had painted many views of Mont St Vitoire. Lynn walked up the hill, seeing no view and cursing the houses in the way. Then she turned round... *

Another day trip was a journey up Mount Ventoux.
